This week The Chapel will be holding our normal gatherings at 9am and 10:45am. The sermon will be streamed live on Facebook approximately 20 minutes after the start of each of service.

During this season I encourage each of you to pray and press in to the Lord. There is fear and panic spreading throughout the world regarding the coronavirus and its threat to our health and well being. The Bible is clear that God holds all things in his sovereign care, and not one sparrow falls off a branch outside of our Father’s care. Our life is a vapor. Here for a moment and then gone. Like a flower of the field, we bloom, then we fade away. We do not have to be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition we can make our requests known to God with thanksgiving.

When dealing with fear and anxiety it is important to keep a few things in mind.

  1. God is in control.
  2. Our true home is with God in this life and the next.
  3. God’s commands to “fear not” means that God knows we will experience fear.
  4. Use fear as a flag to press your life into faith.
  5. Faith in God is the best weapon against fear.
  6. Our live is this world is a vapor.

Notes for tomorrow.

  1. We will not have bulletins printed to reduce hand to hand contact.
  2. There’s no need to shake hands (your pastor was a germaphobe before the coronavirus pandemic began).
  3. Stay home if you are sick or have come in contact with someone who is sick.
  4.  There is nothing wrong with staying home. Use best judgment for your family.
  5. I’ll be interacting with sermon questions from livestream.
  6. I love you and will be praying for you and family this weekend.
